How to Import Facebook Contacts to Gmail OR Hotmail Live

Few months ago,Google and Facebook  are fighting with each other for  data portability and the control of user identity on the web.the main reason is the Facebook social network doesn’t allow Google users to import their Facebook contacts for products like Gmail, Buzz or Orkut. Thus, Google blocked Facebook’s access to its Contacts API. that results is :Now a days  there is no facility to import Facebook contact to your gmail account directly . but here I am going to teach you a way,so you can imports your facebook contact to Hotmail Live account and then export those imported facebook contact from Hotmail to csv file and imports CSv file  contacts again  to Gmail

How to Imports facebook contacts to Hotmail/Live Account

• Goto home.live.com & login into your Live Hotmail account with your credentials
• Click  near top right corner  to go for Options > More Options like as shown in below screen

• Alternatively you can directly access at http://home.live.com/options/
• Click on one of the  Top Menu which read Messenger >> Contacts
• After connecting your facebook account to access contacts ,Windows live will authorize your account. Click Allow when an application access dialogue box pops up like below.

• After successful completion of exporting face book contacts to your Windows live account, you can verify  that facebook contacts are now in your windows hotmail account.

• so, now moving further to exporting those contacts in to .CSV File.

How to export Windows live contacts to CSV file

• Under your windows live account, click on the link Manage exactly besides Delete button link.so, will find a drop-down menu
• Click on  Export  link, you will find like a screen for selection of  exporting contacts

• Save exported contacts file at some location, that will be used in next step to imports contacts in your Gmail account.

How to Imported Facebook Contacts CSV file in to your Gmail account

• Open your Gmail account and click on contacts tab.
• Go to more Options and select Imports link
