There are some important measures that a Blogger should take into consideration before uploading a image.

1.Give proper name to your images:

I see most of them give image name as image1,image2 etc or 1,2,3 so on.But this is not the right way to optimize your images for better Search Engine Ranking.

You can see how the url of the image looks like.For example if you are explaining a post on Tiger and you will name it as image25.After uploading see the below link how your url looks like.

Now image25 and Tiger are no where similar and you dont get any result for this on Search Engines.

2.Avoid Giving Spaces for images and pictures:

For example if you are writing a post on Making Money Online and you want to show a image that resembles Making Money Online.

Now you will give name as Making Money Online.But it is recommended to avoid spaces because these spaces are generally replaced by %20 and doest has any value when it comes to SEO.So, it is better to replace space with '-' or '+'.
Instead of Making Money Online name it as Make+Money+Online or Make-Money-Online.
3.Add alt and title Tag for images:
As discussed in my previous articles you have to give one alt and one title tag for images.

After you upload a image to Blogger then go to HTML and Add A Alt and Title tag as follows.

When you upload an image then HTML code looks like the following

SEO for your WordPress Blog Permalinks and Title

Today I am going to look at some very basic first steps in making sure that your band new shiny WordPress installation is search Engine friendly. I am going to talk about just two things, but these are very important things, the most fundamental and arguably the most valuable from an SEO viewpoint.

Firstly we are going to talk about permalinks. When you first install WordPress, your permalink structure will create a page URL for your posts and pages that looks something like this:

This is far from optimal, we really need to change this to something that contains some tasty and readable information for the search engines to devour. So we will make some changes to have them look like this:

http://www.yoursite.com/category/post-name/

To do this, find the permalinks section of your blog options and make the changes in the screenshot below. Before doing so, make sure you .htaccess file has write permissions set, don’t forget to change it back afterwards!

Next we move on to page title, the default WordPress install will display a page title in this format:

Name Of Blog – Blog Archive – Post Title

This is terrible, since search engines rely heavily upon the page title. The attribute more weight to keywords at the front of the title, so we need to switch “Blog Title” and “Post Title” around at the very least. This is where it gets tricky and much will depend on a) the version of WordPress you are using and b) the theme you are using.

Basically you need to look in your header.php and locate a line of code (usually towards the top) that will look something like this:

More keywords means a higher rank in search engines

In order to rank high for a particular keyword , bloggers usually put too many keywords inside posts. This is known as keyword stuffing. If a particular keyword is more than 3-5 %, google will give you a negative score. Google will think that you are tricking them and they will categorize you as spam.

More links means a good SEO

Its true that link building helps in SEO. But two things should be kept in mind.

• Links should be on related blogs or websites. Usually  Bloggers go on commenting on do follow blogs and forums to gain more backlinks without seeing its related to their blog’s category or not. For example if you blog about gadgets and you build a link on celebrity blog, its of no value. In fact it gives your Google scorecard a negative score.
• Link building should not be ultra fast. Suppose your blog is just two weeks old and you build 1000 links, google will see it as a spam activity. Result: a -1 score from search engines.  The pace of Link building should be gradual and it should increase with a gradual rate.

Copying other blog’s content is OK

Copying other blog’s content or part of blog content is content duplication and search engines take it very seriously. Even if you copy a paragraph from the whole post, it gives you a negative rating in the eyes of search engines. The blog post even if its a copy of another post should be written in your own words. Search engines can’t detect that you are copying an idea or a whole information, if the same piece of information is written in a different way.

How to build links if you are rich

I never understood Google’s philosophy of giving authority to pages which have more links pointed to itself. Suppose i am a great blogger and i write the greatest article of the century. But if no one is linking to me they will place me in 1 millionth page of search results. I know its weird, but these are rules made by search engines and we have to follow the rules if we have to survive in the blogging industry.

This kind of situation forces bloggers to go for a hunt for link exchange with bloggers and waste time on Dofollow forums and comments to gain back links. Convincing bloggers to have a link exchange is a tough task and finding a blogger of your niche with an equivalent page rank is a tougher one.

Like everything in life, there is a shortcut to this problem if you have money. There are many places where you can buy relevant links. Yes, its cruel to poor deserving bloggers of the world. But unless and untill search engine giants keep giving so much importance to back linking, the things will remain like this.

• Smorty – You can hire bloggers to write about your website or blog and thus you can get paid reviews with a link attached. Smorty give you an option to approve reviews before finally accepting them and also you can choose bloggers of higher page ranks for wasting more money of your dad.

• V7n Contextual links – With v7n you can buy contextual links for $40 or more. The links will be inlinks on blog posts which can give you undue SEO advantage in Google race.

• Inlinks – Inlinks is another portal which allows someone to buy links at content places which they like.

• Buyblogreviews – Buyblogreviews is another place where you can get your blog reviewed. Thus a chance to gain links at relevant places.

• Textlinkpro – Textlinkpro works just like text-link-ads and thus they are also in the race of being banned by big Daddy.
