A 3D film is a type of technology that enhances the illusion of depth
perception in motion pictures. 3D films technology has a long history
that dates back in early 1950s but it was considered as a failure
because of the expensive equipments and hardware, despite all this 3D
technology became a prominent figure in the film market and as the time
progressed it was successfully revived in the 1980s and 90s by the IMAX
and Disney theatres. 3D film technology enjoyed greater success in 2000s
and re-entered the mainstream cinema when genius James Cameroon’s Ghost
of Abyss was released in 2003 which became the first full length 3D
IMAX feature film. This was followed by Spy Kids 3D: Game Over and The
Shark Boy and Lava Girl 3D. All of the mentioned films were well
received by the audiences. This technology was adapted by many directors
from 2003-08 and they found a great deal of success in shooting the
films in 3D. In 2009 and 2010 majority of the films were shot in 3D and
was highly successful and now in 2011 we will see more than 60% of the
films in 3D and believe me that the time will come when all the cinemas
in the world will be converted in 3D and all the films will be shot
using 3D technology. So focusing on the above written paragraph I have
gathered the information about the top 10 best movies to watch in 3D. Let’s have a look.
