3G or Wi-Fi Tablet? Which is better choice?

If you are buying a tablet then what comes first in your mind? The connectivity option, Isn't it? You are thinking that which could be the better? 3G or Wi-Fi. There is a very large difference between 3G and Wi-Fi, it can be up to approximately ` 7,000. Price

There is a very  large difference in the price of the 3G tablets and the Wi-Fi tablets. You can take the example of the Sony S tablet which costs ` 29,999 for the 3G model but it costs ` 22,999 only for the Wi-Fi model. Apple Ipad 2 has also much difference in its models. It is of the cost of ` 44,900 for the 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G model whereas only ` 36,500 for the Wi-Fi model. The difference is of the ` 8,400.

Options for smartphones

Now, tablets are not widely used for the calling purpose. These are used for the running videos, data consumption and video chatting. All these require the Wi-Fi or the 3G connection. If you are travelling, you can get the Wi-Fi hence, 3G is not required. By this you can say that 3G should not be on your tablet. Many of the users have the Wi-Fi tethering service on their tablet which makes the smartphone as the Wi-Fi router and they can experience the 3G.

Other Options

If you have no smartphone and you are planning to buy it then don't go for the 3G, buy a Wi-Fi smartphone. You will be saved for the ` 7,000. Then you can buy a smartphone from this money. You can choose many of the Android smartphones such as Galaxy Y, Motorola Fire, Galaxy Pop, LG Optimus Net and many other.

If you have already a smartphone but it don't have the Wi-Fi then you can use a dongle which can costs up to the 3,500 to 4,000. This way you can get the Wi-Fi on your smartphone.
