People often say that social networks like Facebook have improved the
social life of people today. One thing that can be accepted is that you
can really in touch with your friend with the help of Facebook.
Facebook may have brought so many positive changes in the life of people
but if you will ask me then I must tell that, there are so many
disasters that Facebook has done to our life and to our studies.
Facebook- a great invention
There is no doubt that Facebook is a great invention of previous
decade and it has brought a lot of changes in the online world. With the
great features of Facebook, other online websites have been forced to
change the way they used to run. However, there are many effects that
have been brought up by Facebook on our life and especially the life of a
student. Let’s have a look at it.
Get connected with friends
When there was no Facebook or other social media networking websites,
people used to go out and have a good time and now they just sit on the
Facebook and pretend like having a good time. It is great that you can
stay connected with your friends as I have also found many of my friends
to whom I haven’t seen in years. Some of them are from School life and
some are from College life and I love to stay connected with them now.
However, it has really made me blind to
all those people that are actually around me right now. I pay less
attention towards the events that are happening in my neighborhood but
instead I attend all those events that are being created on Facebook by
my friends. Although, there are only a few events that I actually
attend, but I love to be added in the list of those people that are
attending that event. Seriously speaking, Facebook has ruined my actual
social life. I may be cool for those people who spend all their day on
Facebook just like me but for those, who are living in my neighborhood,
I’m a looser and this is a fact.
Life without Facebook
I’m a student too. I remember that time when there was no Facebook. I
used to study all the night if I had to although, I’m not that kind of
person who keeps himself awake for the whole night but since, I have
joined Facebook; you can find me online all the day long and in the
night as well. Just when I decide to open my books, a notification
appears on my phone screen telling me that someone has commented on your
status or photo or even on a photo of you. This really disturbs my
study routines and I’m sure that this happens with all the students in
the world that have joined Facebook and are active users.
