Get full control and access on Shadow Copies on Windows Operating System

To edit or to make changes on any Windows file, you must have the full control on that particular file. There could be many different ways to take access, one of them which we had discussed earlier was that How to take ownership of any file/folder. So, now we are going to discuss another way to do so. Here, we are going to introduce you with an awesome utility named Z-VSS Copy, where VSS means (Volume Snapshot Service). It is a very simple utility which not only provides access to the files but also many other things also to tweak your PC. This is a simple utility which works for all the versions of the Windows Operating System. Now, we'll discuss in details about this program.

Firstly, you will see the Settings menu on the top bar which grabs the following features. It displays all the information regarding the size of the disk, means total size, the volume used by the VSS, total space used and the volume reserved by the VSS.

Another menu is the 'Shadow copies' which covers all the list of the Shadow copies arranged by the order of date. Here, it allows you to open and full controls of access to the files. You can either double-click or click on the show button on the bottom to open the files.
