How to know the sender's location in the Gmail

When anyone is sending the mail from the mail providers other than the Gmail, the IP address is shown without any difficulty. If you want to know the senders location in the Gmail, then it is quite difficult. You will have to follow the some of the easy steps to know about the sender's location in the Gmail. So, by using this trick, it is no longer hard task to perform.

Follow any of the following steps to find sender's location.

Method 1 : Using the sender's IP address -

You can simply find the sender by tracing his/her IP address in the Gmail. It is not directly shown to the receiver, but you could see his/her IP by following these steps -

• Open your message which you want to trace.
• Now, click on the more button and then click on the 'Show original' button.
• New tab will be opened with some of the detailed information, search the 'Received : by' line from that information.

• In front of the 'Received : by' line, you will get the IP of the sender.

You can now simply know the location of the sender. To check the location you can use the 'Wolfram Alpha'.

Method 2 : By finding the sender's time zone -

If the sender's IP is not available from that, then you can try it by looking for its Time-Zone. To perform this act, you can follow the following steps -

• Go to the 'labs' page of the Gmail through the szettings.
• Now, enable the "Sender Time Zone" feature from there.
• Now all the mails will contain the time zone of the sender.
• Open the mail which you want to trace.
• Click on the "Show details" drop down menu, sender's time zone will be shown.

When you will get the time zone, you can use the Time Zone Map to see the country of the given time zone. By these simple steps you can know the location of the sender in the Gmail without any difficulty. Enjoy! this trick.
