Why your Website Needs a VPS?

The speed of the website is obviously very crucial for the webmaster. While you are busy building high quality content on your website in order to attract more visitors and increase your subscribers list, you can’t afford to miss out to deliver a speedy as well as a pleasurable experience for your visitors when they browse through your site. The last thing every webmaster would want is to lose a regular visitor just because he or she is pissed off as the site doesn’t load up quickly enough for him or her. Thats why its a good idea to switch over from shared hosting to a virtual private server which is otherwise also known as a VPS.
Some of you might argue over the fact that my blog just gets over 500-1000 visitors a day, so why do I need a VPS hosting now? While some might agree over this arguement but experts believe its a better idea to invest in a VPS right away. Why ? Well you never know when a traffic spike will limit your server capabilities to handle the traffic and your site will be down. If you are an internet marketer, you cant afford to let this happen. Even if your website is down for 1 day, you lose a ton of potential email subscribers and if you are one single bit involved in affliate business via email marketing, you will know that 1 email can result in atleast 30 USD per annum so a loss of even 10 potential subscribers will result in loss of 300$ and I am not even exaggerating.
So lets stress over the fact that how opting for VPS hosting can be a better choice and what advantages it offers when compared to shared hosting:
Security
A virtual private server offers more security than a server which is shared. Even if one website on a shared server gets hacked, there is a potential risk of other accounts existing on the shared server to be hacked too. While when we talk about VPS, there are operated in isolation, so this risk is minimised to a great extent.
Devoted Resources
Users on VPS Hosting are offered resources which are meant primarily for their own use in a stark contrast to shared hosting users who have to share the server resources amongst others. The lack of sufficient amount of resources on a shared hosting may result in frequent downtime of server.
Server Control
Coming to server administration, shared hosting users don’t have the liberty to tweak or fine tune settings and configuration to suit their needs as this part is handled by the host contrary to that on a VPS where users do enjoy such liberty.
Performance
On a standard shared hosting plan, user pays money for a certain bandwidth as well as disk space which is offered with the plan. Now the problem is when some hosting companies try to oversell and accomodate more and more users on the same shared server in order to mint more money. As a result, users get less than what they pay for. On the other hand, this is not the case with the virtual private serverr because here a user is alloted a dedicated space solely for his use. As a result, VPS is more reliable and experience less downtimes compared to the former.
