Not very long ago, Facebook used to have a length limitation on
status updates. Statud updates were allowed to have only up to 420
characters. But that is no longer the case, now Facebook has removed
this limit and people are making much bigger status updates.
However, there is no such length limitation on comments. You can
write really big comments on status/photos/links from your friends. Many
people, however, find that writing lots of characters in one chunk of text makes it hard to be read by friend.
To get around this problem you want to insert line breaks. But as soon
as you press ENTER key to give line break –the comment gets posted!
The solution to this problem is SHIFT key.
While writing your long comment, when you want to give one or more
than one line breaks –just press SHIFT key, hold it pressed, and then
press ENTER. This way the comment won’t get posted. Instead, you will
see nicely separated chunks of texts.
When you are done with writing –just press ENTER (without holding SHIFT key)
