Facebook acquired up to 845 million monthly users

Facebook is a social networking site which is very popular and got much success in a very short period of time. It was just started to connect the college friends of Harword University but it has got such a great success. Billions of peoples are connected with it, teenagers, employers, businessman etc. are connected with it. 

Recently, information came that about 845 million users are logging in monthly of Facebook. It has increased up to 45m when it was last updated in September’s F8 developer conference. The company stated that their future monthly users depend on their ability to retain their current users, re-engage with inactive users, and add new users, including by extending their reach across mobile platforms. From the 845m, 161m came from the US, while 46m were from the India and 37m from the Brazil. The company further broke out its user penetration by country.

•      80% of all the internet users in Chile, Turkey and Venezuela are on Facebook.
•      60% of all internet users in US and UK are on Facebook.
•     20%-30% of all internet users in India, Brazil and Germany are on Facebook.
•     15% of all internet users in Japan, Russia and South Korea are on Facebook.

•     Some other impressive metrics regarding user engagement reported by Facebook include:
•       250 million photos uploaded per day.
•      2.7 billion likes and comments per day.
•     2 billion total registered users.
•     100bn friendships.
