How to hide any file without any Software in Windows 8

Hi friends! After our last article on windows that ‘How to add shutdown shortcut in windows8 start screen’, we are again present to give you a trick to hide any of the files in your Windows 8 without any shortcut. Friends, you all are sometimes in the need to hide your some personal files, then you start to search the software to hide your data but now you will have no problem related to hide your data.

       Follow the following steps to hide your files/folders—

•     Right click on the file of folder you want to hide and go to the properties of that file. You can do this by pressing ‘Alt+Enter’.
•      Now, in the general tab, click on the ‘hidden’ in the ‘attributes’ and press ‘OK’.
•     One dialogue box will appear in which ‘Confirm attribute changes will be written’, in that click on the ‘Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files’ and then press ‘OK’.

·        Now, you will not be able to see the customized file or folder.

    Now, if you want to open the hidden folder then follow the below steps.

Steps to Show the hidden files/folders—

•     Go to the specific folder or drive where you have hidden the files.
•     On the top bar, click on the ‘view’.
•     In the fourth partition, click on the ‘Hidden items’ option.
•     Now, you can see your hidden item but its opacity will be low which shows that this file has the hidden attribute.
•     Go to the properties of your hidden file.
•     Un-click the ‘hidden attribute’ and press ‘OK’.
•     Now, your file is fully showed.
