Vodafone Smart -- New 3G Enabled Android Launched !!

Vodafone has Launched Its New 3G Enabled Android Phone Named "VODAFONE SMART". Priced at Rs 4995 the Vodafone Smart device runs Android 2.2.1 OS and uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon S1 processor and comes with a 2-year warranty.  Kumar Ramanathan, Vodafone's chief marketing officer, Vodafone India was quoted in a press release as saying, "Urban Indian youth is brand conscious and has shown a great response to smartphones. Vodafone Smart is one such smartphone with its stylish looks, smart features and a host of exciting apps and 3G connectivity at an affordable price."

This smartphone features a 2.8-inch capacitive touch screen, and comes with a 2MP camera that supports video recording. In terms of connectivity, the Smart features 3G, Edge, Wi-Fi, WiFi tethering, A-GPS and Bluetooth 2.1.

The device has upto 32 GB expandable memory (via MicroSD); you will reportedly get a 2GB memory card free when buying the Smart unit. The device also features Stereo FM, MP3 and MP4/3GP playback support and has a 3.5 mm jack.
